Okay, I know I should ask this in the totally O/T section but there is more traffic here so; How do you get your posted images to fill the screen? I get the "you are not allowed to post this image" message in PIP until I scale the photo down so small it's almost pointless to even post it. I'm using Photoshop, by the way. Any help? Thanks.

I think what he is asking is what to do in the resizing process. I've seen it before myself. I'll try to post a pic, and it says the image size is too large, but if I size it down, it is tiny, while I see other people post pics that take up the full width of the thread. I think the max width on a pic is 300 pixels, with no limit on height. At 100 pixels/inch, that means the width is about 3". The following picture is 297 pixels wide, or 2.97" wide @ 100 pixels/ inch. What size attributes would I have to give it for it to be wide, fill the thread area and still fall within the 300 pixel posting limit? (I'm just using this one as an example since I posted it earlier in another thread and had it handy)

YES this is by far the best/easiest.
ive used it for a few years now all you need to do is right click on the pic then go to resize and the one titled "small" is the correct or Largest size that PIP will allow

OK-great program but didn't answer my question. According to "right click/ properties" the pic you resized is now 476 X 768 pixels. If the max posting width is 300 pixels (I think) how does the larger pic make it by the size limit? What am I missing?
How many pixels/inch did you use?

btw, I already have several different resize programs and image editors, all very quick and am able to type in any values I want-maybe 2 seconds. Not an XP user so I have to use what I have, which also allows color/tint/ brightness etc changes. I just need to know how to choose which pixels/inch to use.

It's been so long since I could use PIP I can't remember what it cues on, but MYFIERO.com uses a 100kb size restriction, so inches or pixels don't directly make any difference just the total kilobyte size of the file. (edited) I reinstalled PIP its restrictions are 100kb file size, 640 pixel max width, no height restriction.

Not having much luck with image re-sizing so far. From here on I'm just going to use this thread to experiment. Just consider it a Junk Thread. Anyone else who wants, feel free to do the same.

No, I can't right click on the image. I'm still messing around to see if I'm missing something.

The right-click is on the file on your computer, not on the open picture if that helps! Find the filename and right-click as if deleting or copying and select the resize option.

Just double checking...
Your right clicking on a image that is on your computer, and not the one that you have in the post?
LOL.....Just making sure

Trying again .......... prognosis negative. I get the "cannot post this image", etc. message still. I started with the "small" option and went up from there, no dice. In advanced I specified 640 wide and PIP still flagged me, (same thing I've been doing with photoshop). Admitting this, yes I was trying to right click on an open image till I read these last two posts (oops). I'm having the same problems though.

Remember the 100kb limit. A 640 width can still be larger than the 100 kb max size limit.
