Does anyone know how much HP they can handle? I did some googling but all I found was "they are very strong" with no tangable numbers.

I don't know how much they can handle, but I do know they are extremely old technology. If you have a set, then use them. If you are looking to buy a set of good rods, I would pass on those and look at the bazillion or so aftermarket rods that are available.

Try www.mortec.com Lots of SBC info there.

There's nothing really special about GM's "pink" rod. The previous poster is correct, you can get a set of 500 HP aftermarket rods for 150,175 bucks. Much better to go that route and not have to worry about it.

The reason I was asking is because I already have a motor with the pink rods installed, and I'm curious how far I can push them.
