i read on the forum that using sbc cam bearings in a fiero engine will help with oil flow to the botom of the engine. the bearings that were suggested to be used were from gm preformance at $25 each. can these bearings be purchased locally at local auto parts? thanks

Yes, any brand of SBC cam bearings will work. I prefer Clevite. Be sure to install them per the notes on the GM performance web page. Note, you will discard one of the bearings that comes in the Chevy cam bearing kit since the V6 uses one less bearing than the V8.

They list 2 different numbers because 2 bearings are for the the middle and 2 bearings are for the outsides. They say it right on the gm performance site.

Which SBC cam bearings will work? I just don't want to get the wrong parts. 350? 327? 305?

They're all the same set of cam bearings used in the older small block chevys. The reason why you have different part numbers is because all the bearings are pressed in from the end of the block. Since the middle bearings have to go through the end bearing holes, they make the inner bearings with a smaller outside diameter (OD) so that it slips through the outer hole and then presses into the smaller diameter hole at the inner bearing locations.
