If I remember correctly, 12 volts or above (up 14.5 volts) should be fine, anything under 12 volts is when you start to have problems.

You should have battery voltage at the ECM, roughtly 12 not running and 14.8 or so running. Do you think you have a problem?

Well, the problem has been discussed in another thread but yes, it mainly concerns the engine stalling when I put it in gear or basically a complete inability to establish a dependable idle. I just swapped ECM's and it seemed to improve. I also installed an additional ground but that seemed to have no effect. New IAC, coolant temp sensor, pulls hard starts good good mileage, the slightest load stalls it out. Even the cabin fan. So I'm thinking I might have low voltage at the ECM and wanted to know before I checked it. I will check it with and without a load. Thanks for the help.

Ok, just so you know you can check the voltage anywhere, it doesn'thave to be at the ECM, unless your thinking you have a wiring problem. Across the battery will probably be the easiest and suffucient for what you are looking for. Good luck

Yes, at this point I think I might very well have a wiring problem. I'm thinking that voltage to the ECM drops when I turn something on. I'm checking right at the ECM, unloaded then loaded with the harness unplugged.
