Has anyone ever found an commonly available A/C condenser from a vehicle other than a Fiero which either drops in, or may be installed with the massaging of the existing mounting hardware?

Condensers are expensive for just about any car. They are normally somewhat application specific and should cost about the same so why consider an alternate?

While the Fiero community largely has a reputation of being cheap, don't assume that every Fiero owner is a penny-pincher. Cost is not my motivation. Availability is.
Two hours of research yesterday resulted in three sources: GM dealers, GM Parts Direct, and The Fiero Store. GMPD won't ship outside of the USA, so they don't count as far as I'm concerned.
I have no idea how many The Fiero Store has on hand, but I could swear that my local GM dealer said his terminal was showing two left in a parts depot south of the 49th. Unless someone has started to reproduce the piece by the time GM & TFS's stock is depleted, anyone who needs a new condenser will be SOL and sweaty.

Reply: You've made a very good point there and yes I agree some Fiero owners can be stingy (not yourself of course!) . I had no idea that Fiero condensers were that hard to find. Have you tried the major radiator distributors like Keystone? A condenser is not that complicated of a piece, there should be something in the aftermarket. Let me do a search of my sources and see what I come up with.
ACDelco is the aftermarket seller of GM parts. They are huge. Their air conditioning parts catalog is 1607 pages. Availability of the Fiero condenser is not a problem. For example, here's a listing from Advanced Auto Parts:

Interesting... one of the local suppliers I tried is an ACDelco reseller, and they came up empty. Unless of course the catalog entry exists, yet stock doesn't.

I usually buy from AC Delco's online store and have received excellent service. Their search engine is a little slow but the prices more than make up for it. And the shipping cost is reasonable unlike gmpartsdirect.
