I now have 17X7 Enkei wheels on my 86 GT. I think they are aluminum alloy. Anyways, I have been torquing them to 75 ft. lbs but
I am concerned that is not enough. Do I follow the factory wheel torque specs or should aftermarket rims be treated differently?

If it matters, I am using "Gorilla" lug nuts (splined) and I use anti-seize....

Thanks, Kit

I bought my lug nuts at a speed shop and the guy told me that on aluminum wheels you should torque them to 80 lbs.

My Haynes manual specifies 80 ft-lb for steel wheels and 100 ft-lb for aluminum (stock wheels). I guess that would be a good starting point.
