My brother's '84 2.5L aquired a nasty habit of shaking and cutting out on him while cruising on the freeway (100-110 kph). It also has a kind of uneven, almost lopey idle (vacuum leak? I'll have to check.). He says it'll cruise all day long at 60-80 kph but anything over that is asking for trouble. Plugs are recent, new wires, cap, and rotor didn't help. No CES light although I haven't checked for stored codes. I'm trying to convince him to change the fuel filter (He's had the car about a year so god knows how long it's been in there) and get the fuel pressure checked but what do I know. <roll eyes> Any suggestions?
