I'm doing my swap with a new 3.4 dohc crate motor and currently have a new remanufactured GM starter for a 3.1 and my question is do starters interchange with the dohc motor? Also anyone that has the brackets for both the alternator & AC compressor on the 3.4 I could use them.

Thanks

its the same starter, but if you can get one from a 3400 minivan, its a gear reduction type and better.

What year engine do you have? The 91-93 have different alternator brackets than the 94-97.

The A/C should only have 1 bracket on the backside.

I have the alt brackets for a 91-93, and the A/C bracket(s), but I'd have to find em first.

the differences between starters is usually only the size of the electrical attachment studs on the solenoid -
