Hey guys,
Thanks to those of you who helped me with my molding question. This time i'd like to ask, I have a hood scoop from my old 81 mustang and I want to put it on the decklid of my fiero, the question is do I cut one big hole through the support brace which would be centered under the scoop, or do I cut some smaller holes for the air to escape and save the brace? Thanks in advance.

Mike

Heres some pictures. You don't need a very wide hole. no need to cut through the support brace

And one from above

Hope this helps ya!

I wouldn't cut the support brace either! My hole is about the same size. You can neaten it up nicely after by going around it with some weatherstrip. Having a small ridge around the hole will also aid in mad amounts of water entering the engine area when your hosing it down at the car wash
I made a custom grill for the front of it too.

Never cut through the support brace.....it will take away from the stuctural integrity of the decklid.
Nice job on the deck scoops guys!
