Getto fender rubbing door fix.

My fender and door have been rubbing for a very long time.
It would happen every summer and go away in the winter.
I would have to open my door about 2 inches, close it slightly and then reopen it.
And it was rubbing the paint off of my door.

It finally got so bad one day that it cracked my fender.

But as I was running some plumbing for my N20 purge solenoid and had the inner fender off I saw part of the molding clip sticking through the inside of the fender and had an idea.

so I took some measurements from the frame to the inside of the fender.
Hacked off a piece of PVC pipe about 1/4 inch longer.
Set it over the post of the molding clip and “popped” it in to place.

so to do this you need to remove the wheel.
The inner fender which is just some clips and 7mm bolts.
A junk piece of PVC pipe and a hack saw.

I apologies in advance if my words, spelling, punctuation, or pictures offends anyone

or you could have just loosened the bolts up on the fender and slit it foward a tad

the bolts along the top edge under the front hood might have been enough to do the trick (maybe)

would have only taken a 10mm socket and about 2 min. of your time

so what does the sticker on your ender say?

I used a razer-blade, and removed a teeny strip of the doorskin. I was surprised at just how easy it was to cut off...
But as other have said, I think you can slide some of the panels forward/back a bit...

You might be able to adjust the panel up and out using the screws on the bottom as well. I was able to adjust mine this way.
