I recently had a rebuilt Dude installed. All was well BUT,---------

For about 3 days the car would not start. I tried charging the battery and even a jump to no avail. When the key was turned nothing happened. No starter,no clicks, no turn over and no needle deflection of the amp meter. The car was towed to a garage and started ever try--It has now been starting effertlessly for me today. What could have been the cause and how do I overcome this if it happens again?

TIA
Frank( see ya at the Dells)

auto or manual?
if it is working now, it will be hard to figure out what the problem was.

i have seen cars with tilt steering, if the wheel is up they wont do anything. lower the wheel to where it would be if you were driving it and it cranks over just fine.

Sounds like the ignition switch or the linkage to it like BC mentioned (not the key lock).

The switch is on the side of the column under the dash (right side) when sitting in the seat.
