Hello guys and Thanks for any help provided, here's my problem, my GT 2.8 automatic shifts from 1st to 3rd no 2nd, is this mechanical or electrical, should I just replace the tranny or is it an electronic component? Works fine like this, just bogs down a little because the gearing difference is so long. I was told it's the tranny from the guy I bought it from and he supplied a spare tranny but I don't want to remove it for nothing if it's a simple electronic fix. Thanks again Rick.

There could be several reasons...
Bent clutch pedal
worn or bad shift and or slector cable, maybe binding somewhere
or internal damage..
try the first stuff first, maybe it is just out of ajustment

Have you tried changing the fluid and filter? It could be that simple...
