I found out that the motors I listed have a fuel rail recall. They were made of the same type of plastic that alot of the vacuum lines were made of only larger. If you have worked on your motor at all you know the vacuum lines brake very easy. The fuel rails are getting small pin holes on the bottom of the corners and leaking. The recall they are getting replaced with a stainless steel line, after the motor has been removed from the Cadillac it can not be counted or repaired under the recall. But the fuel rail can be bought. The fuel rail since it is made of stainless steel, wire loom should be placed over your plug wires if they run under the cover (top plate). Just thought I would pass this on to you guys.

Not the 94's, their fuel rail is inside the intake manifold, so if it did spring a leak, it wouldn't be a fire hazard.

I've seen the SS rail, and it's a real nice piece.

Why would anyone run the top cover on an engine that looks so nice without?

I don't mean to steal the thread, but heres some useless info. Before they were shipped out of their production plant in canada, GM had to replace close to 30,000 injectors on (i believe) '02 northstar engines. Siemens had shipped a bad batch of injectors that were out of spec. What would happen you may ask? Well the injectors would stick wide open... not a good thing for grandma driving her new caddy...
