Ben over at 60*V6 does them for 91-93 DOHC motors for about 110, and this includes his custom fuel mapping and any adjustments you want to make to rev limiters, speed limiters, or turning off some sensors and valves (EGR for example). Although it does not make too much more max power, the power drop off after 5500 is all but eliminated, and an otherwise stock motor will pull right to 6500, and hold that until 7. I forgot his store's site however.
Darth Fiero can also do them, and I heard earlier he can do 94-95s now, if not very soon. But I am unsure if he adjusts the fuel tables like Ben and if he does if his provide results better than or worse than Ben's.

Darth charged me $35 to reprogram my prom. This is for 91-93 pcms only. Worked like a charm. Edit to say he can also play with all settings. I had the rev limiter moved to 7200rpm, egr removed, and anything else that would throw a code. It was an auto prom that he programmed to work with a manual transmission. He is the man.
If you don't want to do the wiring harness, I also recomend Erik. For under $300 you can have a plug and play 3.4dohc.

Hi all. Just browsing the archives and ran across this... I'm about to embark on this transplant, and am educating myself. I had enough problems planting the 3800 in my 85 2m6 that whenever I see plug-n-play I get goosebumps. This 92 DOHC is going into my 86 (now ex) 2m4. I know, weak 5 speed, but i have no other choice right now.
So, plug and play for under $300? Please, tell me more! (PM's are fine...)

You wont be disapointed with Darths work. He can do all the same things Ben can. Darth did a chip for beta testing for my friend Jeff/Fieromadmans car which is using the 95 MAF setup on his TDC swap and I've driven it many times. I plan on using Darth for a chip for my own swap. Good guy to deal with too and he works with you until it's the way you want it.

Thanks for the input!
More and more it looks like Erik and Darth are the ones to go with for these swaps!

yep darth burned the chip to make my TGP ecm run the stock 3.4dohc - and i recently sent him someone elses BIN file that they modified to run 36# injectors on the TGP ecm for a turbo 3.4dohc.. He's modifying the bin to work in the fiero - between him and moates.net autoprom my turbo 3.4 should be up and running this month (it already runs NA with the stock injectors)

OK, so the under $300 plug and play is for real? My Fiero harness is 4 cylinder, 5 speed. If that's ok, that's good news! My business will be coming to one or both of these two this winter.
As an aside, has anyone here actually blown up an isuzu 5 speed? Archies site says no problem with mild V8's, so even though it's not the best choice for the DOHC, it'll be ok, right? I drive hard (that's not what the Fiero was originally meant for, but it's me) but I'm not stupid. No 5 grand revs and dump the clutch, ect. What kind of 'honest' top end speed can I expect from this setup? I plan on taking it to the track and giving it a real workout. (At 34, my desire to hit triple digits on the highway has severely diminished...)

yes - I've broken two of them with a mildly build 3.4 pushrod in the fiero
one i snapped mounting studd off the case where it mounted to the rear trans bracket, the other shredded internally
