Whenever I turn on the headlights in my 85 GT the temp guage peggs and stays there until the headlights are turned off. Is there a common groung somewhere that may be loose?

Mine gounded to the mounting plate, I just put some tape over the metal and problem solved.
Its the one in the front, you can see it after you take the cover off. There are two bolts that hold it down.
