Greetings Fiero Gurus....
A quick question. Where is the location of the temperature sensor for the dash temp gauge on an '87 4-cyl.?? The temp gauge just stopped working the other day and I'm pretty certain it isn't the gauge because it moves when the car is started, but won't register any engine temp.

Thanks!!!

Mike

*bump*

Found the correct name for it... Coolant Temperature Switch, but I still can't find it on the engine. Chilton's is no help....
Anyone with an Iron Duke know where I can find the location???

Thanks!!

Mike

There's not that many sensors in the head, look for one with this kind of connection:

It's the one mounted in the head. The one in the filler neck is for the ECM.

There it is!!!! Just went out and found it... Now all I gotta do is test it tomorrow. Read another thread on how to do check the wiring, so I should be good to go.

Thanks JazzMan & spark1 ... I appreciate the help!!

BTW spark1... if that's your engine... it's a damn sight cleaner than mine... these Ohio winters are murder on a car.

Cheers!!!

Mike

Yea, that's mine. A little dust but no rust.
