87SE With Cruise Control. Every time I use the turn signal all the gauges move with the flash. Gas gauge moves towards empty, tach, oil pressure gauge, and volt meter all jump back and forth with the turn signal lites. Have any idea what is going on here?
Thanks Gary

I would say that you have a battery that is not up to par, or you need to check your battery cable's and make sure you have a good ground from the engine to frame. ( ground cable's are very important on the Fiero.

You have a body ground that is disconected or coroded. Test it by running a temperary wire directly from the battery to differant places on the car. You should find it pretty fast that way.

It could be a lot simpler that what's above...the little copper tabs on the back of the flexible circuit board of the gauges have a tendency to move around. After 20 years or so the glue dries out and there is nothing to hold them in place. I had one of mine short out and I had lots of odd things happen like you describe.

You've got a bad ground at the instrument cluster - probably on the connector behind the tachometer. Disconnect both of the connectors that plug into the back of the cluster and examine the contacts - if they're not clean and shiny rub them with a pencil eraser (gently) to clean them off. When you plug them back in, be sure to plug them straight in (not at an angle) and press them in until the latches engage.

This seems to be a common problem although it doesn't get mentioned much here; I've had to fix this a couple of times myself.
