I need a pic that shows how the outside ring or the harmonic balancer goes on the inside piece that is attached to the crank pully. are the two small slits and the larger one timing marks? Im sure they are, but need to know how to line these two up before i put them togather cuz its a pain in the -]-- to get them togather with the rubber bushing in the middle. Thanks

Dan

The outer ring of the HB should be securely attached to the inner hub by the rubber. If you ring turns independantly from the hub, it is shot and needs to be replaced.

Thanks, I had taken it off when i pulled it, it came off with the puller, and geting it back on was a ***** , but the timing marks were jacked up so i just grabed the balancer of my other engine.

Dan, If your working on a 2.8 v-6, Your widest groove on the HB should be in the timing tab area, and your #1 cylinder should be at TDC. Put white-out or paint in that widest groove while you can, you`ll need it later, also mark your timing tab with the same color, at 10 degrees. Hope this helps out........
