Does anyone know which SEM color comes closest to the beechwood color used on the 1988 dash?

You don't use dye,it's either spray vinal or spray paint.I tried the spray vinal and didnt like how it sprayed,it was too thick and spattered. The spray paint was much better.sory, didnt answer your question.

007, Thanks for the information. I'm looking at spray cans of vinyl to recolor a gray dash. I still need to know what SEM color matches Beechwood.

I don't know if this helps you or not. You may be able to cross-reference this list of RPO codes.

http://members.aol.com/great88fiero/rpo.htm

Its appears as if the beechwood trim RPO code is 66I.

I can't help answer your question directly....I have no idea which SEM color will match the '88 beechwood dash. When I wanted to repaint parts of my interior (beechwood '88 GT many years ago), I went to an automotive paint store and they custom mixed me a batch and even put it in a spray can. I think I paid $15 or so, but it was well worth it and matched 100%. The bad news is the beechwood interior is comprised of many different colors (dark sienna, light sienna, etc. etc.), so it might get expensive to re-do everything. If you just want to paint the dash one solid color though (like the '88 Formula or coupe), then you should come out OK.

I brought in the part that I wanted painted so they could color match it.....it sounds like you have a gray interior though, so this may not be of much help to you.

Good luck.

Mr Fiero,

Thanks for the information. I have a beechwood interior with a cracked instrument cluster surround. I bught a good gray surround and now I need to "paint" it to match the rest of the interior.
