I was going to see how much new ones would cost as long as not ridiculesly high just get new ones to avoid problems

There’s really not much there to go bad.
But if you really must, you can clean the contacts up that touch the circuit board with some emery cloth or fine sand paper. And tighten up the “jaws” that hold the bulb with a small screw driver or pick.
You can also buy them new from auto part stores and in my opinion. They are way too expensive for what they are.

Some are dry and brittle was hopeing parts stores had them only need a few approx. how much at parts stores?
