The fron end that Ducattiman gave me has the ridged side mouldings, and the car has the smooth ones.I can see that the front tip and back mouldings are removable, but the rear one that is after the side marker light :
looks like it is part of the fender...is that true, and if so, is the only way to remove it is by cutting it off? I hope not!!

You can cut off the ridged molding because the turn signal light contains the section of smooth molding that replaces the section of ridged molding that you just cut off. You also are going to have to replace the little triangle section of molding that is bolted onto the nose.

Thanks Jonathon...the only worry I have about cutting it off, is whether it will flap about in the wind with nothing holding it in place!! I have the other bits from the original damaged panels, so that is not a problem

I use a method very similar to what Jonathan posted. I don't cut that moulding right off, I shave it down till there's about 1/8" -3/16" left. That way when you install the marker lights, the rear portion presses in on the area shaved and holds it in place.
Hafta be careful, it get's pretty delicate when you get down that thin. I use a sharp box cutter, or a razor blade to trim it.

That moulding you want to remove is moulded into the bumper cover.
