Just took the spare tire out of my car for good, and I'm thinking it would be nice to use that space as a sort of trunk.
What have people done up front to utilize this extra storage space better?
I have not looked into how hard it would be, but it would be nice to have an electric popper like the decklid, and gas struts instead of the stock hood support so it would lift up by itself.
Any pics of mods like this would be much appreciated.

What kind of carpet do you use that will flex enough to cover the entire front compartment?

sluppy123 makes a kit to replace the prop rod with gas struts. Looks really good. He had a thread in the Mall about it.

theres quite a bit of room, once you remove the spare tire tub. it all comes out pretty easily. just make a new tub.
