Ok, I have an 88 GT auto stock rims and stock tire sizes.

Recently replaced the rear calipers due to a leak. I don't seem to be able to lock up my brakes (dry pavement). It does stop fairly quick, but should I not be able to lock up the brakes. The reason I am asking is that it 'seems' that the brake pedal 'feels' different than with the original calipers. I seem to remember have a 'quicker' response time with the originals on the car (even though they were leaking).

Also to point out, nothing else is different from when the originals were on and changed to the 'rebuilt' units. Prior to that, I had installed new hoses and master cylinder.

thanks,
Tim

Been there before myself. Go to Ogre's cave look under body & chassis then under brakes.
Great article that will explain how to adjust them to get rid of the spongy peddle.
