Elmers glue works well too, and easier to use. Bondo will definatly slowly eat the foam. I made a mold a few years ago and every day it was a slightly differant shape. I had to rush to finish it before it was unusable.
Im gonna pick-up some bondo tomorrow, and hopefully tuesday or wensday pick up some all thread, washers and nuts to hold down the decklid vent Im working on, then maybe I'll get back to my spoiler stands and custom spoiler (madcurl style with the extended tips.)
I had a guy ask me about this spoiler mod, but due to circumstances won't be able to purchgase this... But he got me kinda re-interested in the idea...
Thanx for the input...
Please post here with future mod ideas etc. I've taken up plenty of forum space on these topics already... And would like to get as much responce out of this post as possible before I go and start another...
but yea, the bondo will be expieremented with on scraps covered in latex before i ruin the plug / mold I've established already (currently pushing 16 hours underway and about 1/3 finished, hopefully)
PS. Have you sent the fenders..?? Been Looking for em'...
I made a post in my fastback decklid mod thread about the fenders... I'll try to get them out soon, I've been pretty tied up with this project and a few others that havent made it outta the bag quite yet... I have about 26 hours in the "decklid mod" within the past week... (go figure) school (senior this year... yay) that for 8 hours, come home work on the mold about 8 hours, then bed time, then a replay... lol
I'll keep this "build up" thread (updated with this mod and possibly 2 others)... this is 1 of 2 build ups that ppl have actually kept their eyes on...
Shoot me a PM steve, its about time we had our chat...

I was gonna ask you if you are gonna be able to make this a 'FUNCTIONAL' scoop, or is it just going to be like the outer shell..? Know what I mean..?? I am going to bed :tired as hell:

Yea, I know what you mean... i'll be asking each costomer if they'd like for me to cut the slots in it for like 10 bux... Otherwise they'll be getting them just as the outter shell, we'll see (but they're ment to be functional)
GET TO BED YOU LATE NIGHT SURFER ( im a good 1 to talk)
I believe that the foam that AusFiero is referring to is not floral foam. That stuff tends to disentegrate pretty easily. Correct me if I'm wrong, Aus.

I found that out the hard way on a small expierement, I found a piece laying around the house and decided to attempt to shape it.... I could shape it with my finger its that soft..
Personally so far out of about 4 types of foam, this blue sometimes pink foam is the best bet...
