When I was doing my brakes, I noticed the front shocks were weeping a bit of fluid.

I pulled them out and ran down to Canadian Tire (THE Canadian auto parts place ) They don't even LIST front shocks for the 88..

I can order them from the net, but I'd like to buy locally.. Who should I try.. Is there a shock from another car that will fit ???

Try the "REAL" parts stores, my local ones all have listing for the 88's. Sorry but no offense, Canadian Tire sucks the big one for car parts. They don't have a listing for alot of stuff, and most of what they do carry is second rate stuff.

Wow watts !! That's quite a list.. Thanks a lot.. That should help tracking down the right shocks..

And yea, jelly2m8.. I realize Canadian Tire isn't the best.. But they are one of the biggest :-)

Do you have an Autozone in Canada? (Ask for free shipping, takes about a week, quicker if you pay for shipping at Autozone). If not try your local phone book.

No Autozone in Canada.

Canadian Tire is not really the largest - it's just the most visable, there are a lot of other dealers out there that should be able to get the shocks for you. We have a few auto parts dealers in my area that can get any part for me if it exists. Check around at the others.

I actually got my shocks/struts(Monroe Sensatrak) from a GM dealer here in Toronto. They come with a lifetime gaurantee like most other places and I found the price to be comparable.

That was just my experience, YMMV.

I find NAPA the most knowledgable, reliable, in-stock-able for canadian quality fiero parts.... better prices than piston ring stores too.

PS.. Poncho... let me know if you ever want to sell your 88 coupe.
