tried pep boys no luck. the only performance cap and rotors there were, were for 350 SB Chevy and some Ford applications. looking for an ACCEL cap and rotor preferably but im interested in anything that outperforms stock.

AutoZone carries the Conrad cap and rotor kit. It is part number DR2012G for $19.99. This cap is red and has brass contacts. They can also get the Accel kit. The Conrad kit is usually a stock item on the shelf. The Accel is probably a special order. I prefer the Conrad. It not only works well, it looks good, especially with the Fiero Store red wires.

Hope this helps.

I second the Conrad Gold Line cap/rotor kit. It is by far the highest quality cap and rotor kit I have ever seen.

We can't get Wells/Conrad caps up here anymore. But I found an MSD kit that fits. The GM 4.3L V6 used in Syclone/Typhoon uses a similar distributor and they use the same cap/rotor kit as our 2.8 engines.

MSD PN# 8430, Wells DR2012-G, Conrad DR-2012-G. I suspect they're all made by the same manufacturer,
because they all have brass contacts and quality appears to be equal.

Yep. Conrad is good stuff. Autozone also has red stock type replacement wires, fine unless you have a seriously powerful aftermarket ign. system. I also recommend the Crane Fireball coil. Its a direct replacement for stock- no purple paint, it LOOKS o.e. Works better, and lasts.

The Crane Fireball coil is what I use with a Hi-6 box. The fireball is a maybe the best replacement coil
on the market. I tried MSD's replacement coil but didn't care for its build quality, (maybe a fluke).

Accel coil (the direct replacement one), and the red Autozone (Conrad) cap and rotor in mine too. Been fine for years, coil is 7 years old now (100K+ miles), 2nd cap.

The MSD kit is what's on my car now. If it didn't fit, I wouldn't have posted it.

Sorry about that. Part number still #8430 but on MSD site it shows the same cap and rotor with part number #84023.
