Okay Ogre, It's time for me to change a burned out headlight. Are you still of the same opinion about the Sylvania bulbs? You have managed to squelch my thoughts on "conversion kits" as I need headlights for driving not for show.

The ones I use are High Visibility H6054HV from Philips. I think that specific lamp may have been discontinued or rebranded.

Philips and Sylvania are both pretty careful about making good lamps. I've used both over the years.

I believe Sylvania Xenarc is still the only street legal HID set that fits H6054. I think Philips has a HID kit but only for the back loaded 9000 series lamps.

All other "HID" kits I've seen to date are actually Halogen lamps. Many of which are not street legal. Ones that draw more wattage may cause problems.
