Anyone got recommendations on sound deadning material? I'd just like to listen to my stereo, that's all......

You can buy what you need from most any upholstery shop, then cut it out to match the area you wish to protect from sound. Many times they will have a 1/2 inch stranded material made of pieces of fabric and thread. It should be cheap and easy to accquire. Good luck and peace.

I've never used it, but Brown Bread is supposed to work well, and it's cheaper than Dynomat.

Compare the Peal and Seal roofing material from Lowes with Dynomat. It's much cheaper amd went on easy. Must be some difference between the products but they appear very similar. And the Lowe's product did a good job of knocking down the noise. It did take a few days to get the smell out of the car (asphalt had to degas).
