I'm assuming you have, but in case: you also need to undo the fuel lines - i usually disconnect the metal to rubber lines, instead of the metal lines to the fuel rail, and also need to disconnect the cold start fuel line. ok, and you got the 2 10mm bolts that hold it to the middle plenum. now, rock it back 'n forth, and the injectors will start to come out of the lower intake. they will be sticky. keep rocking it. it will come un-done. the rubber o-rings on the injectors have "glued" themselves to the aluminum intake. small squirts of wd-40 down by where the injectors go into the intake may help.

be carefull when wiggling the fuelrail, the injectors are seated under a different angle, thats why it seems stuck a bit but they will pop out at a sudden.

Speaking of the CSI...............
I disconnected it fine from the rail.
It seams that I can rotate the tube (move it back and forth) on the other end. It's alittle dark to look at it right now...
Is this something that is going to be a problem when I get it back together? Not loose, but I can move it back and forth.

This whole thing started out because I needed to replace my valve cover gaskets.
So far the job is going smooth..............but it taking a LONG time. ( my first try at it)

Thanks

Anybody know if the fuel block "O" rings are available at the local parts stores.
They look OK, but I might as well change them if I can.

The tube on the CSI that goes into the fuel rail has to have a tiny O ring on it. Be careful not to lose it as it leaks fuel all over the place if you put it back in without it. Ask me how I know :^)
As for the injectors since your taking them out why not have them cleaned and rebuilt ? You'll get better performance and fuel economy. It usually costs around $ 120 from a rebuilder.

To answer your question, since "the expert" is talking is as follows:
Cold Start Injector - O-Rings (O-Ring Package)
AC Delco Part# 1711954 Cost = $13.99 Kit consists of three O-Rings for the cold start injector, you will need the smallest one.

Fuel Rail, O-Ring, Fuel Block, and Fuel Block Gasket
AC Delco Part# 17110853 Cost = $36.99

Parts are all AC Delco, there are no aftermarket subsitutes.

I got my o-rings at autozone. Was something like 7-8 bucks for them. No aftermarket subsitutes? Ya right!

The o-ring that you are refering to is the '87-'88 2.8L camaro fuel injector o-ring. The pack for our csi is the only kind and it contains three o-rings not the only o-ring that the camaro carries. Yes it is true that both use the same smaller o-ring that fits at the fuel rail nipple, but only the fiero part contains the other two o-rings that fit on the csi itself. The camero 2.8 o-rings are a different sizes than the fiero. But be my guess, and order the wrong set and have that poppy leaking. Check the P22 book for both the fiero and the camaro and you will see that they are indeed different.

THANKS TO ALL FOR YOUR HELP.
This all started because my valve cover gaskets were leaking. I just finished the job, and it turned out well. It was my first time doing this, so it took me the better part of 6 hrs.
I do not see how this could be done without removing the manifold.
The "O" rings at the fuel block and the CSI looked pretty good so I reused them. No leaks.
I replaced all the gaskets and the injector "O" rings. I changed the plugs. I also changed the 2 little 5/16" water hoses that come off the thermostst housing for the throttle body. It's not a bad job, I just took my time. The best part is...............I had no parts left over!!
Again, thanks for your help.
