i am trying to change the struts out, and i started today thinking it wouldn't take me THAT long, but then after getting to the two bottom bolts on the struts they won't budge, i have both of the nuts off and i cannot for the life of me get them out
i tried a blow torch for 20 min then put a wrench on there and hit it with a sledge and they still didn't move, then while still hott i covered it in WD40 (something like that anyways) heated again and sledged it again and it didn't move at all
i'm stuck (or at least the bolts are, lol), any tips?
Use an impact on the bolt while beating the crap out of the bolt. Keep the nut on so you don't mangle the threads. Heat will help but heat the Knuckle not the bolt. If you have an air hammer , use it.

On my old rusted Ford Ranger, my neighbor and I did the poor mans impact wernch. I used a wrench with a big long pipe, it was 6 ft long, for leverage while my neighbor repeatedly hit the arm of the wrench. He used a mini sledge hammer for the shock value of the impact and we switched hits from the arm of the wrench to hits on the head of the bolt. Good luck to you on your repairs.

Don't worry about ruining the bolt. Just don't snap the head off. I did that and it took me about 20 drill bits and 12 hours to do just one side. If you have room, you can try hitting the bolt through with a hammer. It's not threaded through if you didn't know already. hope this helps

If they are that stuck I would cut the head of fthe bolt with the torch and drive them through. Heat the bolt, not the knuckle. If you do not have a torch, use a cut off wheel on a 4 inch grinder.

For an easier attack angle on it, pull the bottom pinch bolt out, pull the top nuts, remove the caliper, the axle nut, and then take the whole damn mess out.
Now you can take a SERIOUS swing at the end of the bolt with a BFH. Otherwise, you're limited to baby swings in the wheel well (or you're hitting it at an angle which is nowhere near as effective).

i got it!!, i ended up putting the wrench on to bolt, and then a 4' pipe then i put it to the floor and put a floor jack underneath and pumped away, lol, 4 or 5 times of this got it spinning pretty easily
i heated the knuck and it seemed to work better than when i heated the bolt, but it could just be because i had done it 3 or 4 times already
THANKS FOR THE HELP!!!
