The engine still has the fluids in it, and was pulled about a month or so ago...

Would It be a bad idea to drain the fluids, get the manifolds ported, new exaust manifolds, and new exaust system... (show car)

If that would be a dumb Idea... Where can I get a nice 3.4 cheap...? Any of you 3.4 ppl have anyt advise on that... And you guys (and gals) that have a stock 2.8 thats been ported, how do you like it opposed to a non-ported 2.8...?

PM's welcome... This will be a project for the winter... (buying the parts and such through out the winter, the installing everything after the weather... along with a full body restoration, and a few mods there as well)

Any Advise ?

I just ported out the middle intake and exhaust manifolds on a 59,xxx mile motor so I don't see where it would hurt.

Just ported the upper plenum and middle intake and took off almost 2/8 of an inch and the cars runs better and moves faster with less throttle than before so you can notice the difference the motor has 188,000KM ( 117,000 miles)

Where would I get this done at, and anyone have a guestimate of the cost involved.. Porting everything... maybe even getting a block bored our, and where would I get the larger pistons too...

I'm a engine newbie, sorry...
