This is frustrating...the car has been like this ever since I bought it. I bought it with a completly destroyed front tranny mount and had no idea what it was until I got it home from Texas. By then the mount had completly broken apart, and my engine was slamming backwards and pushing the dogbone straight down..
I replaced all the mounts, and the dog bone with new Napa ones, and darrel's poly dog bone...
Well, something just didn't seem right...found out the rear tranny mount bracket was destroyed also...so I replaced it with rodneys replacement. Everything SHOULD be good...engine still doesn't seem to sit right...the dogbone isn't level, it slops downward toword the front a bit, and the tranny bracket doesn't seat itself completly on the rear mount, it seems to be pulled away from it not making contact against the rubber...
Is this normal? Nothing looks broken or bent or anything that is obvious to see...Looks to me like (maybe) the dog bone is pushing the engine forward not allowing the tranny bracket to full seat on the mount...sound right? any ideas?
