I can't find PB Blaster anywhere, though that's the resounding recommendation of the forum. I did find something from 3 in 1 called, originally enough, "penetrating compound."

I was wondering if anyone had an experience with the two and, not being available at Lowes, where one would find PB Blaster.

Thanks!

I get PB blaster at autozone. It's on the shelf where they keep all the engine treatments, etc.

I don't think the 3 in 1 is anywhere near the same. The PB blaster is the best stuff I've found for removing rusty bolts.

PB Blaster is nothing like WD40, they're not even made for the same purpose.

3 in 1 is not even close to as good as PB Blaster. Look some more.

I'll let you know if it helps me get my spark plug bases out. Worked very well on my power door locks (instead of 6 presses of the button to lock it now only takes 1 or 2).

Should be an acceptable test. Considering how bad these things are.

If you can't find PB Blaster, grab some Liquid Wrench if you see it. I think LW works better than PB, but many disagree. I use them both. LW seems to be thinner and will penetrate better while PB is thicker and will cling better. It's a tradeoff. I think LW penetrates threads better, but you have to use a lot since it doesn't cling as well. In areas where the LW will just run off, PB would be the better choice.

Awesome. Thanks everyone for your replies.

I'll run out and look for both of them and take this can back to Lowes.

If you can't find PB Blaster - you could try Kroil, IMHO is probably the best you can buy, PB Blaster is a close second
