I need a slave cylinder for 84 Fiero SE 4 cyl 4 speed. Anyone has any ideas where I can get one (all the local junkyards say they don't have one)?
I would just rebuild mine, but I was told it is unrepairable. Anybody know if there is a slave cylinder off a different vehicle that would work or whereabouts I can get one (prefer cheap and rebuildable)?? And I already checked ebay .

GM parts direct lists a rebuild kit but website wouldn't pull up a price.

The Fiero store has them new (Wagner brand) but they're $91.

For used Kick Hill Farm is a good possibility.

I'd also check places like NAPA or Carquest for a rebuild kit or new.

I suspect that if you look around you can find a rebuild kit. Whether yours is rebuildable or not depends on the condition of the bore. If it's pitted you're SOL.

Thanks for the info. checked Kick Hill Farm, didn't see any. Already checked fiero store. A little too high for my budget right now. The rod on mine is sooo rusted and pitted it isn't funny. The car sat for 2 years before I bought it. There wasn't anything besides the metal rod inside mine.

You need to call Kick Hill to see if they have what you want, their webpage hasn't been updated in ages. Speak to Bob Parker, he will be more than willing to help you. You can even try to fax in a request to him. They don't answer their emails and are running a farm, so if you get no answer, keep trying, you won't be dissappointed once you get thru.

If it sat that long, the piston is probably still in there, bottomed out & corroded in the back of the cylinder. Probably not worth trying to fix-as you've already said. The Fiero Store does sell a rebuild kit for the 84 slave cyl for around $24, according the the old price list I have. I bought one from O'Rielly's auto parts for $12. A snap ring, a seal, a packet of grease, and a bleed screw cover. Wagner # WAGF103536. It appears to be a universal kit. Instead of the seal fitting in the groove as the oem seal does, this seal fits on the spring plunger. I'll let you know how long mine lasts.

I may have one I could sell you out of my 1984 4 speed, recently rebuilt and worked great. I am converting to 5 speed this week.

Let me know, email me with fiero in the subject line.

Rick
