I'm looking all over for my fan switch on my '87 v6 and can't find it. I'm told it is on the right side of the engine. I did find something that looks like a fan switch on the left side of the engine, but it has two wires running to it.

If anyone has a pic they can offer up, I'd love to see it.

Thanks

the one on the left side by the coil should be your temp guage sender, the fan switch is verticle on the lower intake manifold somewhat under the plenum on the right side, the temp sender to the ecm is horizontal below the coolant fill tube

The fan switch (sensor) is located near the thermostat housing. If you are looking at the thermostat housing from the rear of the car, it should be back and to the left a little. It is recognized by a single GREEN / WHITE STRIPE wire. If you ground this wire, the fan relay should kick on and turn on your cooling fan at the radiator and the engine cooling fan mounted in the trunk if so equipped.

Hope this helps

One of Jazzman's famous photos is about halfway down this thread.
