Does anybody on here have a Flowmaster 40 Series (Original or Delta) on their Iron Duke Fiero? I just read through about 115 reviews on it, and they all said it was the best muffler, blahblahblah, but most of them were on V6's or V8's. One review even said that this muffler was NOT designed for inline 4's, and would sound like ass. I was getting really excited about the 40 Series, but now I'm kinda worried. I was just wondering if anybody had one of these mufflers on their 4-cylinder Fieros, or could give me a little info.

And if this isn't the muffler for me, can anybody help me decide on what would be good for my 84?

Flows 40s will sound like rice on a duke...Ive heard them before. Ive got them on my 01 V6 Mustang....sounds good, but at higher idle it gets a bit raspy/ricey sounding. On a 4 banger it'll be bad, trust me. Flow 40s sound wicked on GM/Ford V8s, relatively decent on V6s, but sound like sh1t on 4 bangers.

But can you really make any stock inline-4 sound "good"? I think it will have a better sound than the majority of the rice out there wikth the fart cans. I've heard a Suzuki 1.8 with a 40-series and it's not foolin anyone for a V8, but you can still tell it's a flowmaster. I say go for it.
