How do you tell the intermitten/deley wiper motor from a non deley version? The one I have has 4 wires.

The delay motor has a large rectagular cover over a circuit board.

84 uses a separate delay module.

The non delay type has the following color wires. Pink, purple, grey, orange. If your wires are a diff color then you have the delay type. Good luck.

Oh sorry, I thought the topic heading was VIPER MOTOR. That would be a tight fit in a Fiero!

Hi Kento,
One thing I learned while messing with a Fiero wiper motor was that the motor is grounded by a tab which is attatched to one of the mounting bolts. Since this bolt was broken off on mine---the wiper motor would only work when pressed against the firewall--lol just thought I'd let you know.
Viper wiper--lol

The delay and the non-delay both are wired the same. The differance in the two is the switch and the motor. It is an easy conversion to change from one to the other.
