in my search to find a V6 manual flywheel, someone told me to look into advance auto parts. after callling them and they cant find anything for me, the info is posted on here. i looked on thier website and same stuff comes up

it comes up as a GM standard 6500 flywheel
weight 16 lbs
cost 39.99 and 35 core

is this the right thing to use? or is this gonna turn out to be an automatic flexplate?

i also searched under an 88 since i have the 3.1 ARI kit installed and need a neutral balanced flywheel correct?

I have a 88 GT< 5 speed manual and I put in a billet aluminum flywheel, much lighter then the old iron flywheel and inproved my acceleration also. I bought this flywheel form the fiero store + new bolts. The flywheel is a Hays flywheel and I sent Hays an e-mail on how munch I would need to increase the flywheel bolts tq.[aluminum is much softer than the iron flywheel and needs tobe tq. more to have the same clamping force.] I don't have this number with me so give them a call.
As for the clutch. I use a Centerforse clutch, duelfriction type.
