every time I am driving in my duke and I have my foot totally off the gas then floor it there is this boom sound that comes from something in the engine compartment.....the car jerks when I floor it then it pauses and boom then it takes off it feels like the back of the car is about to rip off.....but if I have my foot barely on the gas already then floor it....its fine I cant figure out what in the world this is but its weird.....if I am at about a 5-10 mph roll and I foor the gas then let off and floor it and let off over and over it jerks the car like crazy it looks like I have hydrolics ???spelling??? I noticed that when the car is at higher rpms such as about 3k then I floor it...it is perfectly fine. I know an instant fix yall are gonna say is dont floor it in the duke because its slow......but it does it sometimes just when I hit the gas (not floored) any help gets +'s

Sounds to me like you've got a tranny mount thats bad or the engine mount. It could pussible be the dog bone . When you jack the car up try to wiggle the rear suspension parts to see if they wobble as well .When you check the mounts look for fresh scraped metal(like there has been metal to metal contact between parts). Also check the cradle mounts . There is a lot of rubber in the back that can wear out so you have to check everything. Good luck hope that helped.

I had suspected that but when the engine was pulled about 4 months ago the engine mount was replaced and the dogbone looked kinda out of place to me.....and right after I got the car back there was a rubbing sound coming from the decklid........

I'm pretty sure that you have ignition problems. Most likely plug wires or plugs. Make sure you buy a premium set of wires or you may have the same problem. Good luck. Peace

what kind of tranny do you have? there could be some slop developing in the cv joints on the manuel. this will kick the car as you lay on and off the throttle.

Unless you replaced all of the engine/trannie mounts recently.... It really sounds like a bad mount.
If one goes bad it can screw up the others quicktimes.

While we're at it, what would you recommend for plugs and wires (what brand)? What's this iridium stuff all about (it's iridium, right? I can't remember for sure)? Is it worth it?
