Some things to consider about the Cold Start Injection (CSI) system: The switch gets power right from the starter solenoid circuit, that means that the CSI system is completely disabled unless you're actually cranking the starter. The CSI switch has a thermal timer in it that controls how long it sends power to the injector based upon coolant temperature. Above 90°F the switch is intirely disabled, and below that temperature the switch's on time varies from zero seconds at 90°F to a maximum of 8 seconds at -20° or thereabouts. In any case as soon as you release the key the power goes off to the whole CSI system, so unless the injector itself has stuck open or leaks the CSI system has no effect whatsoever on how the car runs.
