I was driving my 88gt and I got the car up to about 80mph and there was hard vibration through out the car. I have been
told that this might be becouse of a low air pressure in my tires. Is that true?

I don't know...does the tire LOOK flat? All kidding aside, if the car's been sitting, the tires may have flat spots, or like the man said you may have a tire belt that's gone...looks ok from the outside, but it's kinda like finding a rattler in a corner of your garage, it'll give you a nasty surprise one day on the freeway if not replaced. (The rattler wouldn't have been so bad if I hadn't been using a corner of the garage (30' x 50') as living quarters at the time. Spent the next three days looking to see if any of his family had moved in with him!) :0

no. I would say a bad shock, and you had a "dribbling" tire. unbalanced tires shake at around 60-70 MPH, a slipped belt is a hell-ride, you feel that at 30 and up MPH. also, the flat spots, you feel them around 40 MPH, and that just gives a slight shake at 60+ MPH
