I have to pull my trans (without dropping the cradle) and so obviously I can't jack the car up by the cradle b/c I need to tip that down... so I tried putting jackstands just forward of the front cradle mounts (on the lift points) and lowering the car onto those, and the front of the damn car started lifting. If I keep going it will just tip backwards. How do I jack this thing up? I have no hoist BTW.

I put the front tires on ramps and then do as you are doing. You may need some sandbags, blocks or whatever to weight the front. You're on the right track.

BTW I'm listening to Eyes Wide Open at the moment.....nice!
