Here are Pics of the 4.9l Installed in Jeff's 85
Plenty of clearence using the Caddy Alt and we did not have to cut the hinge.

Closer view of the Hinge Clearence

Good space along the battery and Strut Tower

We also clear the Oil Cooler lines as well

These last 3 are over views of how it sits.

Nice Hope is solid mounted. Those clearances seem tight for that torq monster

I wanted to pressure wash the whole entire engine before installing I did actually get a chance to sneak off and wash the cradle after pleading. The valve covers need to be re did something like powder coated Red is a excellent color.

And about the clearance my mounts dont need a dogbone nor to be solid mounted I put alot of messuring and thought into those mounts the sizes were coppied from my 4.9 mounts. My car is currently running fine with that setup.

The detailing will come in time. My pockets aren't as deep as yours Blackazz.
It is in and runs beautifully. And there are less than 10 of them in the whole state--that's Cool!
