Will the stock '88 Fiero automatic be strong enough behind a basically stock 4.3 V6 w/four barrel?

Was the 88 a 4 or V-6? How many miles on it?
Lots of folks use the auto trans from the V-6 for sbc swaps so............ ya, I guess it's ok for the 4.3.

The stock transmission was originally behind a 2.8 V6.

May want to check and make sure the bolt pattern is right, though, you may need an adapter for it. I don't think the 4.3L is the same as the 2.8L...

Correct. The 4.3 is the same as the sbc and will require an adaptor to mate to the Fiero trans
