Does anyone know if there is a difference in performance between the first clutch master cylinder design with the resevoir on the end and the second master cylinder design with the resevoir in the middle? I'm tryin gto decide which to order for my automatic to manual swap. Thanks in advance

From what I recall there is no "performance" difference in the two. Just a newer design. However, there seems to be a feeling the early design is more trouble-free. They are interchangeable.

Thanks. Although new at posting, I've been a steady reader for the past year & just went through replacement of the master cylinder & slave on the Formula I recently bought. Previous owner sold it out of frustration with clutch problems. Turned out he had an after-mkt mstr cyl with an adjustable banjo that was way wrong & a slave that was leaking air into the system.

I saw your registered date is a month after mine. Makes me feel less like a newcomer! Hah! Anyway thanks for the straight info. I appreciate it.
