i converted a 88 coupe 4 cyl to a gt6cly and i connected the gt tail light harness to the loom and i get no brake lights
every thing else seems to work including the third brake light.
Any suggestions

read ogre's cave, i think he tells you which pin outs you need to change.

the turn signal circuit AND stop light circuit runs through the turn signal switch on a notchback car.
the GT cars are seperate.

I ran into the exact same problem when I was converting my 88 coupe. There is an "undocumented feature" in the wiring harness that unless you know how to work around it you can't get it to work. Anyway Strick helped me and thanks to MinnGreenGT sharing his secret of the search engine I found the thread...(worth the price of wheatstock admission alone)

Thanks again to Strick for this: What I did was on the coupe wiring harness is I removed a white jumper wiring going from G7-H8.
Then on the GT harness I traced from my break lights and found a blue wire was pined in at J9. I removed it from there and used the connector from the white wire and pined it in at G7. That fixed all my problem. Lights work great now. Hope this helps.
