Can a 3800 TB be used with a 2.8 ? I know that there would have to be an adaptor,....but iz-it possible??

yes, it can be used, but it wouldnt work very well.
the opening on neck of the upper plenum isnt very big, even for the bored throttle body we use, the neck needs to get bored out also. it will also affect the TPS, being 1/2 throttle on the larger bore butterfly will let almost full flow thru that the engine can take, but the engine will think its at 1/2 throttle, and wont adjust timing & fuel delivery accordingly.

They didn't make a 3800 TB........if you mean a throttle body.

If you mean a regular non supercharged 3800, it will fit without an adapter to the tranny. It will need custom made brackets and the wiring and computer from the donor car.

Hmmm. I understood the original post to mean he wants to take just the the throttle body off of a 3800 and put it on a 2.8 Correct me if I am reading this wrong.

Correct Eaton. I saw a throttlebody for sale, that was off of a 3800 with supercharger and was curious.
