I know I have seen 0-60 times in the forums for these engines but it seems that most have significant mods. Does anyone have 0-60 times for the 3800SC (series II) w/ 4t60e and 0-60 times for the 4.9 cadillac w/ 4t60e? Any accurate figures would be greatly appreciated. What I'm looking for are times without significant mods. e.g. no different sized pulleys or nitrous, etc.
Thanks a ton,
Eeps, almost forgot... this isn't a "which one is better" thread.

Well I can't really give you figures since I don't own either or those, would be nice though.....But I've read that low 5 seconds is about average for the 4.9 Caddy motor. The 3800SC has more horsepower and I believe around the same amount of torque, so I'd say it would easily be low 5's to 60.

I am currently at 5.02 seconds 0-60 in my Fast back 3800SC. I have headers, aluminum flywheel, 3.4 pulley, 5 speed Getrag with synthetic, aftermarket computer, 17 inch rims with 255's on the back. I suspect I would be faster with stock wheels. I'll post when I get my cam and intercooler installed.

i believe fierox was doing 0-60 in 3.2-3.6 seconds with his 11.55 second car. it was a HUGELY modified 3800 series II supercharged motor.

FieroX runs a "Dooms Day" Fiero that is only good for a few runs then really nasty trouble starts happening. I've lost count of the number of times he's had to tear the engine down or replace it. But hey, everybody does there own thing to make them happy.
I don't think that 0 to 60 Calulator is very accurate, some other's have used it, and claim it yeilds false quick times.
Just for comparison, my car has been checked with both G-Tech and Stopwatch yeilding a 0 to 60 mph of 4.2 Sec average, this is with a 2nd gear start to eliminate the 1 - 2 shift to hit 60. Times are going to vary based on elevation above sea level, temp, humidity, road surface, etc., you can only compare cars running in the same location on the same day.

If I knew my 0-60 times I would post. Maybe I can find someone with a G-tech i can borrow. Sorry I don't think I can handle trying to launch and hit the start button on my timer at the same time
