I need some input from folks who have bought the Walker exhaust system part # 40094 for their Fieros. I have found that Advance Auto parts sells them for 217.00. I'm guessing that price is complete with tips. If so, are the tips like the oem tips or are they the ones that Ocelot uses? How does it seem to be holding up? How does it sound??? Big question there as I like the oem sound. How was the install? Thanks in advance for any input......forum members always have the inside track.

Sorry no link. But Walker is a huge maker of oem type exhaust systems, along with Maremont. I think the Fiero store carries the Walker system but the description in their catalog isn't that great. I think this is the exhaust I want but would like a first hand description of it first. There must be some Forum member who has one.

The one I got (I think it was a Walker) is from the cat to the point where the tips connect in. You will have to transfer your old tips over. It was an easy install abd a total clamp on (no welding unless you have a non-OE cat). The sound was not as loud as a Borla, very similar to stock.

I like the oem sound on my 86GT so I am going with the Fireo store original replacement from cat back without tips for $179.00 less 10% Forum discount. I don't know if it is Walker or not but I will let you know how it sounds after I get my car back from the mechanic. I liked the fact that all the spring hooks are on the pipes/muffler and it was set to go. I will make a point to try to stop by if the mechanic is open over the weekend and get the manufacture of it for you.

I had a Walker system on an Escort I owned years back. It lasted two years and corrosion got to it. Since it was replaced at a Ford dealer who guarenteed it, it was replaced for free, just like Midas does.

Thanks for the input everyone. When your trying to decide where to spend Fiero bux you can't have too much info. I obsess about things like exhaust tips because I want to keep the car as original as possible. Anyone else have any input?

Rodney Dickman recomended the Walker set up very highly. He said it was a good setup and fit perfect. He also said he was going to list it in his catalog, but just for everyone to see, but he was not going to sell them. You can get info on the Walker at Rockauto.com Thats my choice when I get ready to change. Don

I need a new exhaust system too. I want to go with dual outlet ( since my '88 coupe has dual cut outs). Has anyone used the Walker V-6 system on a 4 banger? How does it sound? Will it bolt on easy?

I've got the Walker system connected to a Duke; it fits perfectly. If you're converting from the stock system, you'll need the muffler and both tips - and the right side exhaust hanger. The best price I found on the muffler / tips was at www.rockauto.com and you can get the exhaust hangers from www.fierostore.com
Good luck!
