If I am remembering this right the 4.9 has an aluminum block and cast iron heads. My question is are there any aluminum heads that could work? I have been told that the 4.1 or 4.5 is a cast iron block and aluminum heads although I am not sure about this. I know even if I am correct and even if it would fit I have no idea how it would effect performance. I would like to make things as light as possible and aluminum has some thermal advantages as well. Has anyone done anything like this?

Not that I know of they are all cast iron heads.

I always thought about alluminum heads on a 4.9 caddy It would be nice if they were designed or someone fabricated a type to fit.
